Jennifer Aniston is appreciated not only in Hollywood but also in hair salons, due to her stylish and unique hairstyles. One of these is the famous Rachel haircut an apparently simple one popularized in the 1990s when the 1st season of the sitcom Friends delighted the great public.

‘The Rachel’ as it is also called implies a layered, bouncy shag hairstyle. The haircut is done in the following way:
-
The hair is cut to shoulder-length and layered, the front section is angled slightly below the chin. The bottom layer is shagged with a razor cut.
-
For a proper styling use a flat iron in order to accentuate the different layers. In fact it can be done also with a round brush. Just blow your strands out and style them in the right direction.
Indeed it is a high maintenance hairstyle, however if you use some mousse or wax you can create the proper height and volume. This hairstyle fits almost every face shape, however it looks best with the similar one to Rachel’s, the long, oval face.
The Rachel haircut aims to soften the defined lines of a square shaped chin with volume and styling. Other features that make this hairstyle more popular are: the side or middle parting and highlighting. All these give the impression of a sophisticated look.
The creator of the hairstyle was in fact Chris McMillan, Jennifer Aniston’s professional stylist.
